中興大學生物化學研究所隸屬於生命科學院，於民國八十五年成立碩士班，民國八十八年成立博士班，並於民國九十年規劃完成結構生物及生物化學等兩個重點方向，目前已為一設計完備之獨立研究所。
本所位於生命科學院大樓八樓及十二樓，共有約八百坪的空間，足以提供每位專任教授及許多碩士、博士班學生進行研究、教學、及公共儀器之操作。本所目前有專任教授八名，研究領域涵蓋：生化大分子複製、轉譯、轉錄、分泌等機制、微生物結構基因體學、蛋白質結構及功能分析。

Research Environment
The institute occupies the 8th and 12th floors of the College of Life Sciences building, comprising approximately 800 ping (about 2,645 square meters) of space. The institute is equipped with the following hardware:
